This magazine is the first UK magazine dedicated to Bushcraft and survival skills. Currently interest in bushcraft is higher than it has ever been. This has partly been due to the recent television programs by Ray Mears and more information being produced on the subject. Bushcraft & Survival Skills magazine provides articles which enhance reader’s existing knowledge as well as teaching new skills. The magazine will keep readers up to date with the latest courses and equipment.

This magazine is perfect for the budding intrepid explorers out there. Buschcraft at its most basic level teaches people how to survive when out in the wilderness. The skills teach people how to survive situations that many would find difficult to deal with.
We aren’t sure if going for a scary and dangerous hike is really something we could get on board with! We like our comfortable lives the way they are thanks! However we recognise that these skills would be invaluable to anyone who is really stuck in some dreadful place with little means of escape. While we would much prefer to get our excitement from other less dangerous pursuits, we also realise that for some people bushcraft would be a fun way to get an adrenaline kick and have an exciting adventure.
Let’s face it learning how to light a fire by rubbing two sticks together is not really a necessary skill for kids to need nowadays. What the magazine shows is that bushcraft can be fun and gives people useful skills for life. Some people see it as a way to get back to our ancestral roots. It is more about teaching life lessons than simply practicing redundant training for no reason.
