A classic French magazine filled with interviews with and profiles of the best of the best. Actresses, models, artists, photographers, designers, musicians, writers… and everything in between! Unsurprisingly, there are a huge amount of fashion features depicting favourites from the latest seasons for every theme, from boho chic to angular couture. The glossy pages are brimming with some beautiful art work and photography, mostly based on fashion but not entirely. Numero has suggestions for every reader; fashion, music, art and even architecture! An exciting and substantial read.
It also features interviews with leading professionals within the industry such as John Galliano, Louis Vuitton and Paul Smith, as well as interviews with prominent art figures such as Stephen Gontarsky and legendary directors like Martin Scorsese.

Unfortunately for me, I do not read French at all well. However that has not prevented me from enjoying the stunning shots and fashion pieces littered across the pages of Numero magazine.
My personal favourite spread has got to be the double page devoted to Atelier Versace pieces. Structured, flattering and super sexy, Gianni Versace really knew how to dress a woman and subsequently defined a lot of the 80’s and 90’s with his personal brand of style. Tiny waists sinched to create that ideal womanly hourglass figure. This is a trend that has stayed with us throughout the ages, and Donnatella Versace, our reigning queen since she inherited the company from her brother as certainly not strayed from that path.
Her Spring/Summer ’12 collection is simply divine, an array of structured elegance swaddled with ethereal and metallic tones. I simply adore the Italian lace, the 3d embellishment and the dresses punctuated with the occasional flash of cheeky 60’s style hot pants or cropped jacket. The piece enhances Donnatella’s vision of the strong woman, as nearly every piece was a vision of shape and colour, with metallic bands giving curves and womanly shape, along side the warrior style gladiator sandals. Every piece was crisp, fresh, and deadly looking, clearly aimed at the powerful women who are not afraid to steal the limelight via crystal-kissed layers of sheer and alluring fabric, with a shape that can only spell ‘woman.’
